On 30th July 1947 in haste to catch the outgoing Air Mail
ny letter to you of that date contains a grammatical and
typographical error, the latter is shown as 29.7.47 but should
read 29.1.47. I hasten to apologise for this mistake.
Since my last letter I have received a further
communication which called for a reply. To keep matters clear
from my end I have furnished copies of correspondance dealing
with the subject concerned. I enclose copies of same.
I am of the opinion that a deliberate obstruction
existe and is being prolonged, hence in official correspondance
I have been informed of, confusion, misapprehension,
extravagance of language, pretensions and the latest being,
inexplicable clerical error."
On Wednesday the 5th August, 1947, the Commissioner
of Police sent for me and asked for a copy of our Petition,
that is, our Memorandum dated the 29th. January 1947. I gave
hin a copy .
